Sports media professional, photographer, and storyteller.

I’m Grace Hand, a sports media professional and photographer passionate about telling stories through meaningful content. I create visual and digital experiences that highlight the athletes, organizations, and communities behind the moments that define sport. Through photography, content creation, and strategic storytelling, I help transform those experiences into work that resonates with audiences in an authentic and lasting way.

  • MY ROOTS

    Growing up in New England in the 2000s, sports were always at the center of my life. As a multi-sport athlete and lifelong fan, I developed an appreciation for the competition, community, and stories that make sports so meaningful.

  • CHOOSING MY PATH

    At Sacred Heart University, I discovered I could turn my passion for sports into a career. I grew my skills in athletic communications, social media, and sports broadcasting and to build a foundation for my future in sports media.

  • BRANCHING OUT

    While earning my master's degree in Sports Journalism at Arizona State University, I expanded my skills in writing and broadcasting. A capstone semester centered around digital marketing and photography ultimately led me to discover my passion for content creation and visual storytelling.

  • BUILDING MY BRAND

    Returning to Connecticut after graduate school, I focused on growing my freelance business with gigs in photography, broadcasting, and social media management. Each project helped shape my creative voice and define the work I wanted to pursue.

  • SOMETHING NEW

    In 2025, I took a leap of faith and moved to Texas to begin my first full-time role in the sports industry. Joining the Southern Texas PGA introduced me to a new sport, a new state, and countless opportunities to continue growing as a storyteller.

Outside of work, I’m a firm believer in finding joy in the little things. Hockey games, books I can't put down, trips back to New York City, mornings at the gym, afternoons by the water, and evenings spent with family and friends are some of my favorite ways to spend time. I'm always looking for new places to explore, whether that's a local coffee shop, a new restaurant, or a corner of a city I've never seen before, but you can also find me at home convincing myself my apartment needs to be rearranged (again).
